CEO
Max Clissold is the CEO and founded NUVO back in 2008 after meeting Graham Lyons and his legendary Clarinet. Max is the driving force behind NUVO’s innovative designs and is passionate about encouraging children to participate in music-making from an early age. Based in Hong Kong but frequently travelling for business, Max can occasionally be found enjoying his other passion, sailing the ocean waves!
Director of Music Education
Brittany Bauman is the Music Education Director for NUVO. She is the author and co-creator of the Windstars pre-band curriculum focused on bridging the instrumental gap between the recorder and beginning band. When she's not presenting at music educator conferences or leading pre-band teacher trainings, you can find Brittany mountain-biking her local trails or walking her dog Tako in New Hampshire, USA.
Sales and Marketing Manager
Antonio Lao works closely with international distributors and looks for new partners to work with to promote the love of making music. He also participates in the design and development of new products, focused on branding and packaging design. In his free time, you would find him spinning records at home or out hunting for bitter yet sweet durians from Malaysia.
General Manager
Bo Choy has been with NUVO from the very beginning, working with Max to build up the design and assembly team. He takes a lead role in product development with his years of experience in production and he also looks after the daily operation at the factory. When he’s not anchored at his desk talking to suppliers, he would be out hiking or playing badminton.
Mechanical Engineer
Yip Qiu is an integral team member working on new product development at an early stage as well as existing product improvements. He communicates with various partners such as plastic molding and metal parts suppliers to ensure a smooth assembly process. When he’s not working on his 3D files, Yip often ventures out to fish at nearby rivers with his buddies.
Product Engineer
Keith Ng is the newest member of the NUVO family and he has been working closely with Max on new product development. He is responsible for mechanical and engineering design and liaison with new suppliers. When he is not making prototypes from his 3D printer, you will find Keith shooting hoops at the basketball court.
Sales Office Manager
Cris Chen is the first point of contact for order placement for our international distributors. She is the core member who handles daily operation at the factory from production planning, logistics and organizing product certifications. In her free time, she loves to hike and picnic at parks with family and friends.
